My friend Lindsay and I definitely have a bond over our feline babies. Whenever she had questions about issues going on with hers, she would send me a message. It made me feel good to know that she trusted my suggestions. I appreciate her a lot. She was there for me when Bartelby passed away. Stood by my side in front of his resting place while I cried. I will always be grateful to her for that.
I wanted to know a little bit more about her own little fur babies. Read more below:
Hi Lindsay & fur babies!
1. How many cats do you have and what are their names, ages, breeds(if you know)?
I have 3 cats, currently.
Arya who is around 6 years old. She is just a mutt. Some kind of domestic short hair/black panther.

Gilly is around 3, she has all the markings of a short haired tabby. Her tail is shorter than usual and I don’t know if she was born like that or had an accident as an infant.
Stevie is about 2 and a half. He is a big fluffy Maine coon. He is probably mixed with some other breed but if so, I don’t know what.
2. How did the cats come into your life(adopted from the shelter, wandered up to your home, etc...)?
Arya came first. I was living in Brooklyn, NY and had a backyard with a ton of stray cats in it. My neighbors would always feed them but wouldn’t help get them trapped and spayed so they kept breeding feral cats. One day, Arya showed up at my back window and she was tiny and sickly and nicer than the other strays, so eventually, to my previous partners dismay, I took her in and she bonded to me so I couldn’t let her go.
Gilly came a few years later, I was ready for a second cat and followed “Whiskers A-Go-Go” on social media waiting for the “right cat” to pop up on Instagram. I fell in love when I saw her stubby tail and dopey face. Stevie came about a year later, also from whiskers a go go. My partner and and I didn’t know if we were ready for a third cat but when I saw Stevie (who is blind) and his fluffy coat and eerie eyeless sockets, I knew he was for me.

3. Why cats? (Why do you prefer cats over other animals as pets)?
I am an all encompassing animal lover, if I could have 10 cats, 5 dogs, a goat… etc, I would. But living in NY where space and money were always an issue, it’s hard to own pets. Not to mention, long nights worked where they would be left alone and I love to travel- so it was never a matter of preferring cats, it was mostly that they were more independent and lower maintenance than other animals while still having hilarious personalities.
4. Do you have any cat organizations in your community that you would like to showcase? I will donate sales to them at the end of the month.
I would love to show some love to Whiskers A Go Go in Brooklyn, NY because they work really hard and I have them to thank for two of my three babies!
Thank you so much Lindsay! They are so cute! I am excited to donate and share to Whiskers A Go Go.
